Both Blair and I are back safe and well from the H Band Tour (albeit covered in bruises for luggin gear around!!). We both enjoyed it immensely and the tour diary will be online soon at jomccafferty.com. A brief recap of the tour: lots of fun sleeping on the bus, lots of carrying gear up and down stairs with the groovy crew, heaps of laughs with the main band (all very nice people), communal showers, I got lost in Amsterdam, we had a very nice Japanese meal in Utrecht, I learned how to say "my cd is for sale at the merchandise store" in Dutch, learned heaps about sound and watched rush hour 1 and 2. (and i even managed to do a bit of work while i was there!) I'd just like to say a big thanks to everyone who came to the shows or was involved in the shows, we make a great team. But now we're back and after going through the after tour low, helping my folks move house and generally trying to get back into the swing of things, I'll have to work on the single!! Both Blair and i are working hard to get the single out as soon as but I don't want to skimp on quality so you may have to wait a little longer... Up and coming gigs are as follows: Sat 28th Sept- Triple Kirks- Aberdeen Wed 2nd Oct- Belmont Cinema- Aberdeen Mon 7th Oct - Blair's band Indigo Source are playing in the Garage in Glasgow - there will be a bunch of people going down for this so if you're in Aberdeen you might want to check the group and see if there is a spare seat or if you can offer someone a spare seat in your car ;-) Tuesday 8th- Lemon Tree (supporting Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze fame) Aberdeen Wed 23rd Oct- Belmont Cinema- Aberdeen Wed 30th Oct- Drummonds- Aberdeen Sorry to all those not "local", I should be in your area soon... < Back to the News page for the full diary list
