<Extricated from the email newsletter of September 2001>

Hi there and hello sports fans. Welcome to the first online newsletter of Jo McCafferty. There'll be a few boring bits here and there, till I figure out how to write one of these, so just bear with me.

Instructions for getting off the list are at the bottom of the letter (in the vague hope you might read it anyway!) Here goes:

So I guess some of you might be wondering what I've been up to. Or maybe not. Suffice it to say, however, there comes a time in every rock starlet's career when she has to knuckle down and explain to people what she's been doing for the past lord knows how long. So here it is. After completing my degree in summer (yay!), I plunged straight into recordings for the album Neomorphism.

Six songs have now been completed as rough drafts, and I am anxiously awaiting the next batch of recording time. This may take a fair bit of time due to interesting management techniques. Anyone who knows a good manager...send 'em my way!!

The website is due for a major overhaul very soon, thanks to the help of secondmotion.com. Many picture galleries to ramble through, the sample tracks, revised and elongated etc etc you know the score. The last photo session I did was hilarious, and involved me swimming in the North Sea with all my clothes on (not advisable). It was great fun, and the results of this escapade will soon be available for your viewing pleasure in the very near future.

Musically, I am still looking for the "band" but am getting a little closer everyday. Future plans/gigs: Get very rich and famous (we live in hope) Drakes Bar 3rd October 2001 8.30pm (ish) Sometime in December/January time I hope to do a mad tour of London's elite showcase venues. So if any of you know of a good place I should play at, send the suggestions through. I have a few on the cards, but help is always welcome.

So anyway, as this is my first email to the masses, it may not be that informative/funny/good. Suggestions on what you would like to see in this missive will be gratefully taken on board.
