We kicked off 2003 with some England gigs, Bradford and Leicester. Both were interesting in their own way and definitely fun to meet John Young and his entourage! The Bradford Rio was a bit more of a band type place so not sure Id go back until the band is in place. (Working on that right now though). Leicester Y was brilliant, great sound man Neil Segrott (forgive me if spelled wrong!) and the theatre was cool too! The gig at the Belmont Caf on the 15th went well. After that we started the first foray into sketches for the album Games for One. This is a slow process as we are building a band on computer technically, so it is sometimes difficult to get the right vibe. But we are making progress! Hopefully well have some sketches up on the Yahoo group for review by mid March. Ive been writing and writing of late so new songs abound! Lyrics will get posted soon. A gallery of photos is now imminent and hopefully will be added to as the year progresses. All those budding photographers out there can send any shots of gigs etc to Stuart or myself for posting. Alternatively you can post them yourself on the Yahoo Group area. I've taken some time off gigging to give my hand a rest as its been getting painful of late. I have found a miracle cure though- magnetic plasters! I saw them in a chemist and thought I would give them a try and they seem to do the trick! The next gig is 21st February at the Newcastle Opera House supporting John Young and we are looking forward to that. Ive even added a couple of NWTK tracks to the set. There is a poll for this gig- for the set list so if you have a favourite song then vote for it on the Yahoo Group. If it isnt on the list just shout. On a sad note, my aunt died suddenly last week.
